JULIAN -- A Ridgeview man was killed following a two-car accident this morning at the intersection of U.S. 119 (Corridor G) and Camp Creek Road, near the Donald R. Kuhn Juvenile Detention Center. The Boone County Sheriff's Office is investigating the crash that left one dead and another flown to the hospital with serious injuries. The crash took place around 9:10 a.m. this morning, Friday, April 6, 2012. Details from investigators show that 86-year-old Elisha F. Moore of Ridgeview was operating a 1997 Buick on Camp Creek Road, attempting to enter and cross US Route 119 into the southbound lane. When pulling onto Rt. 119, deputies believe that Moore pulled into the northbound lane, into the path of a northbound 2008 Chevrolet pickup truck operated by 52-year-old Danny L. Riggs of Crooksville, Ohio. Investigators say that it appeared that Riggs didn't have time to apply his brakes before the crash took place. Moore was killed and died on scene as a result of his injuries, according to the report. Also injured in the crash was 81-year-old Mary Eloise Hubbard, also of Ridgeview, who was a passenger on Moore's vehicle. She was flown from the scene by HealthNet to CAMC General Hospital. Her condition is unknown at the time of release. Riggs and the passenger of his vehicle were not injured in the accident. No charges are likely to be filed in the crash.
