First Christian Church

Bias Branch yard sale
The Bias Branch Youth Group Church will be having a yard sale at Lick Creek Mall, and also selling Krispy Kreme doughnuts.
Also, at More For Less Store we will be having and hot dog sale and also selling Krispy Kreme doughnuts. Please come out and support out youth group church.
Greenview Community Church
The Greenview Community Church Youth Group will be having a cookbook and cup cake sale at Danville Magic Mart on Saturday, May 4, 2013, beginning at 10 a.m.
All proceeds will fund the youth projects.
Also, the church would like to invite any and all mothers and daughters to attend our annual Mother/Daughter Cookout on Saturday, May 11, 2013, at the church beginning at 3 p.m. Hope to see you there.
Rumble Community Baptist Church
Rev. Roger and Hoy Duncan from Tampa, Fla., will be preaching revival at the Rumble Community Baptist Church beginning May 5 at 6 p.m. on Sunday and at 7 p.m. all other nights. There will be special singing each night. Rev. Richard Harold welcomes everyone to attend.
Madison Christian Center on the Old Pool Road will be having a “Mercy Revival” on Saturday, May 11, 2013, starting at 9 a.m. with Ginger Diles preaching, Seth Bunting and Ginger Diles singing and our wonderful youth Church Worship Team as well.
There will be revival services at Whiteoak Freewill Baptist Church in Orgas, May 6-11, with service starting at 7 p.m. each night.
Special singers include: Monday, May 6, Shiloh; Tuesday, May 7, Debra Schultz; Wednesday, May 8, In His Name; Thursday, May 9, Jacob’s Ladder; Friday, May 10, Brad Query; and Saturday, May 11, Higher Calling.

There will be a fundraiser for Sandra Cox on May 11, starting at noon, at Van United Methodist Church. They will be having a hot dog and bake goods sale, plus taking orders for Premier Designs Jewelry.
The church is located off Rt. 85, toward Gordon, just past the Van Ambulance Station, on the right, across the bridge. The bridge is just before the Y & O Camp.
Church hot dog, bake, yard sale
Brown’s Branch Free Will Baptist Church will have a hot dog, bake and yard sale vendor event on Saturday, May 4, 2013, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
You need to RSVP if you want to rent a table for the yard sale or be a vendor. Please contact Gini Nelson at 304-837-3894 for further information.
The church is looking for vendors such as Thirty One, Avon, Pampered Chef, Pink Zebra, Scentsy, Celebrating Home, Origami Owl, handmade crafts, etc.
All proceeds from the hot dog sale and table rentals will go to benefit the youth group.
Gordon Missionary Baptist Church
Gordon Missionary Baptist Church will be holding a gospel sing on Saturday, May 4, starting at 6 p.m. with singing by Jacob’s Ladder, Three Generations and The Labor’s. Everyone is welcome to attend this event. A love offering for the singers will be taken.
Prayer Connection Lighthouse
Prayer Connection Lighthouse in Danville is accepting donations of clothing, canned goods, furniture and garden foods. Monetary donations can also be mailed to P.O. Box 159, Danville, WV 25053.
They also need volunteers from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
The church’s “Heart of God Soup Kitchen” serves free hot meals Monday through Friday between 1:30 and 5 p.m. Due to health department regulations, no food can be carried out. The kitchen will be open in April on the 24, 25, 26, 29 and 30.
The church or the kitchen does not give out cash or any other monetary assistance.

The McCorkle Freewill Baptist Church Crisis Committee invites everyone to participate in our “Community Nursing Program.” The program takes place he third Tuesday of each month from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at McCorkle FWB Church multipurpose room.
An RN will be available to the congregation of the church, community and surrounding communities to take your blood pressure, check your blood sugar, explain “the VIAL OF LIFE” (essential information to keep on hand), and explain Medical Power of Attorneys or Living Wills.
