On June 25th Fruth Pharmacy said good-bye to pharmacy resident, Dr. Brittany Snodgrass, and welcomed her replacement, Chris Booth, from Madison.
Booth knew from a young age that he wanted to be a pharmacist.
“I have a great uncle who is a pharmacist – I have witnessed first hand what his practice has done for his small community,” stated Booth. “I guess I always wanted to emulate him and be able to help my future patients in the same way he helped his patients,” Booth continued.
Booth plans to to use the time as a resident with Fruth Pharmacy to expand his pharmacy knowledge as well as knowledge of services that pharmacists can provide the community. He will be involved in providing comprehensive medication reviews (CMR’s), medication therapy management (MTM) and community based services. For an appointment please contact Fruth Pharmacy on Jackson Avenue in Point Pleasant at 304-675-2303.
Booth’s future plans include maintaining a practice site while continuing to teach pharmacy students.
“I would like to say a special thank you to my parents, who are both teachers, and my pharmacy instructors at the West Virginia University School of Pharmacy for their support and challenging me in both my scholastic and professional goals,” Booth concluded. “I look forward to this upcoming year with my new colleagues at the University of Charleston School of Pharmacy.”
