Lady Skyhawks rally for win over James Monroe

DANVILLE — After trailing for most of the game, the Scott Lady Skyhawks’ softball team scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to tie the game before winning it with a big hit in the bottom of the seventh against James Monroe at Lick Creek Field in Danville.

Kailua Craddock led the bottom of the seventh inning with a line shot into left field, then advanced to second on a past ball by the James Mo0nroe catcher.

Sydney Dangott then stepped to the plate and delivered the game winning hit, by lining a shot up the middle, allowing Craddock to score from second, giving the Lady Skyhawks the win.

Ally Brown was the winning pitcher and Cassidy Allen was the winning catcher.

Rebecca Ratliff was the losing pitcher for James Monroe, while Cassie Weikle was the losing catcher.
