As part of the West Virginia Coal Festival, a Kid’s bike parade was held on Tuesday, June 17, in downtown Madison.


Lineup was at 4:30 p.m. at the Masonic Lodge and the parade will start at 5 p.m. The parade began at Masonic Lodge and end at Boone County Courthouse.


Sign-ups were free and began at the Masonic Lodge at 4 p.m. on June 17. It was open to all kids ages 5 - 13.


The theme was “Red, White, and Blue.” Judging is based on creativity and theme.


The grand prize was a new bike and runners-up received free carnival passes.
