The Danville Volunteer Fire Department took delivery of a new apparatus last week. Rescue 188 is an E-One E MAX 6 man custom cab on a typhoon chassis. It has a 450 HP engine, 3,000 Allison Transmission, 10KW generator, LED light package, a 4 light, light tower and a back up camera. It has a 1250 gpm Darley pump, a 500 gallon water tank and 30 gallon foam cell. Equipped with 10,000 PSI high pressure Hurst Rescue hydraulic tools, Rescue Jacks stabilization system and many other tools capable of handling all types of rescues from collapse to high/swift water and even Hazmat situations. “We are proud to say that we are a staple in the everyday lives of the citizens of Danville and surrounding areas and that we will be there when the worst time comes.
