Raymond R. Dolin, 73, born July 19, 1940, of Madison, WV passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 22, 2013 after a long illness.
He received his BS from WV Tech and his Master’s degree plus from West Virginia University.
He taught school at East Bank for seven years where he was the Chairman of the Science Dept.
He was the science supervisor for Boone County, taught at Madison Middle School. He worked for the State Dept. of Education for one year where he wrote a Metric System program. He also served as a scout leader while attending WV Tech.
Raymond was a faithful member of the Madison Church of Christ where he led singing.
He was preceded in death by his father, Emanuel Dolin; mother, Ruby Williams Dolin and two brothers, Herbert and Bill Dolin and two sisters, Lucille Gillenwater and Elizabeth Halstead.
Raymond is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Nadine; son, Christopher and two daughters, Regina and Tresia (Joshua) Artist. He was a devoted “PawPaw” to five wonderful
grandchildren, Macalla Artist , Joshua Artist, II, Eric Artist, Kevin Halstead, and Brody Ray who will miss him greatly; two sisters, Doris Parker of Florida, and Ann Dolin of California.

We express our gratitude and appreciation to the doctors and their staff, and the Hubbard Hospice House Center who treated our loved one with such care and dignity. Also, thanks to those who visited the hospital and Hospice, called and had prayers, sent food and cards or helped in any way.
Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m. , Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Madison Church Christ, 103 Ruckers Street next door to the Board of Education Building.
Raymond chose to donate his body to the Human Gift Registry for scientific purposes at WVU in Morgantown.
