CHARLESTON — West Virginia State Senators Ron Stollings, (D-Boone), and Art Kirkendoll, (D-Logan), along with Delegates Josh Barker, (D-Lincoln), and Jeff Eldridge, (D-Lincoln), received a $1.3 million Small Cities Block Grant for the Lincoln County Commission at a ceremony held at the Capitol in Charleston.

The grant will be used for the Frances Creek Waterline Extension Project. This extension is expected to benefit 84 households.

“This grant will benefit households which are currently served by individual wells with some health concerns including poor water quality and bacterial contamination,” said Senator Stollings, “This extension will provide residents with a safe and reliable source of water.”

The total project cost is estimated at $2.8 million.
