This harsh winter has taken its toll on roads in Boone County and created potholes everywhere. Erman Hager, of Foster, took this picture in front of his house on WV Route 3 about a mile-and-a-half off Corridor G (U.S. 119) last week. Several potholes had knocked the hubcaps off of tires. Hager said West Virginia Department of Highways workers were being to patch the potholes in front of his home. Motorists are advised to be aware of crews patching potholes in the road and drive cautiously around those areas.
