Black Eye Promotions presents King Of The Coal Fields 9, on Friday, October 25 at the Madison Civic Center in Madison.


In the main event, two natives of the Mountain State step into the ring for the West Virginia Heavyweight Championship. Warren “The Hitman” Browning (17-3-2 12 KO) Of Lenore, meets William “Wild Bill” Shahan (9-5 8 KO) of Glenville in the 10-round title bout.


Five professional bouts and nine amateur bouts will be presented as part of the event.


In other featured professional action: undefeated cruiserweight contender Chris “No Joke” Jones (5-0 3 KO) of Richlands, Va., takes on Terrance Watson of Danville, Va.; heavyweight Justin Novaria of Zanesville, Ohio faces George Oiler from Beckley; cruiserweight contender Cory Phelps (13-6-1 7 KO) returns to the ring against Cullen Rogers of Akron, Ohio; and super middleweight prospect Don Pennington (2-0 2 KO) of Huntington will fight Tierre King of Akron, Ohio.


In addition to the nine amateur bouts, the two most exciting amateur boxers will be offered professional contracts with Black Eye Promotions.


Creator of the popular King of the Coal Fields series, Black Eye Promotions is the home of the best professional and amateur boxing in the state of West Virginia. King Of The Coal Fields 9 is presented by Hill Chiropractic Center, Boone Memorial Hospital, Cook and Cook Law Firm, and Quality Metal Roof Manufacturing and Sales.


A boxing card is planned for the Williamson Fieldhouse in early January of 2014.

All bouts are sanctioned and supervised by the West Virginia Athletic Commission.
