A nine-run first inning propelled Wyoming East to a 14-0, five-inning win over Sherman last Thursday at New Richmond.


The AA No. 6 Warriors batted around in the first inning. Austin Canada’s bases loaded double to left drove in two runs, and Christian Hedinger followed with a three-run home run to left.


Blake Brewer had the lone hit of the day for the Tide, stroking a single to center-left in the top of the third.


Jaquan Ayers punched a two-run single to right in the a five-run Warriors third.


Canada struck out five in four innings of work and picked up the win. Hunter Hall pitched the fifth.


He was also 2-3 with two RBI at the plate.


Hedinger was 1-2 and drove in three runs.


Brewer went 1-1 for the Tide.


Bailey Kirk started for Sherman and was relieved by Brewer in the fourth.
