He was born on Jan. 14, 1929, in Mingo County. He retired from
Westmoreland Coal Company after 42 years of service. He was a member of Laurel City FWB Church of Ottawa and the UMWA. He was also an Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of the VFW.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be sadly missed by his family and a host of friends and relatives.
He leaves to mourn his wife of 51 years, June; one daughter and son-in-law, Beth and Jim Blosser of Ottawa; one son, Jake Henry III of Ottawa; one sister, Peggy Henry of Louisville, Ky.; five grandchildren, Jason, Jacob and Jaimie Blosser of Ottawa, and Kayla Henry and Ashley Henry Ulbrich, also of Ottawa.
Funeral service was Jan. 8, at Handley Funeral Home, Danville, with the Rev. Don Austin officiating. Graveside Service was at Memory Gardens, Madison, with entombment in the Garden of Devotion Mausoleum.
