MADISON – John Murphy and Billy Goodman where driving through downtown Madison not long ago and thought it would be a great location for a coffee shop.

“There are really no coffee shops in this area at all,” Murphy said. “We thought it would be a good idea because there is nothing like this in the area. We have the best coffee around.”

The Coffee Connection is located at 369 Main Street in downtown Madison, right across the street from the Mexican restaurant, The Hacienda.

“We think we have a great location and just need to get the word out that we are here and open for business,” Murphy said.

The coffee shop offers a relaxing atmosphere with several blends of hot and cold coffee drinks, as well as various types of tea and hot chocolate.

Free WiFi is available for those wanting to go online and well as private rooms for business meetings or gatherings.

“We want to cater to businesses in the area or family get-togethers,” Murphy added.

The establishment is also seeking local artists and musicians.

“We do not serve alcohol or offer any type of gambling machines,” Murphy said. “We want to offer the true coffee shop experience for our customers and business people in the community.”

Snacks and soups are also available, as well as smoothie shakes, cookies, bagels, doughnuts, muffins, popcorn and lemonade.

For more information, or to reserve a private meeting room, call The Coffee Connection at 304-369-3700.
