I hope everyone has been enjoying the beautiful fall weather we have had the past week.

Thanksgiving is only two weeks away.

Sympathy is extended to the family of Emogene Thompson, of Ridgeview, who passed away Oct. 30 at the age of 74.

Kathy Legg and family, of Lower White Oak at Ashford, extend their thanks for the

kindness shown during the loss of husband and father, Lou Legg. He was fatally injured in an auto accident Oct. 30. A special thanks to “Punkin” and Mary Lou Holstein as well as everyone for the food, flowers, cards and prayers during this sad time.

A special thanks to Arlene Hathaway, of Raleigh, N.C., for sharing one of her favorite recipes with us this week.

Dill Potato Wedges

7 or 8 new red potatoes

2 cloves garlic, minced fine

1/4 pound butter

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon celery salt

2 teaspoons dried dill weed

Wash potatoes well and boil until barely soft. Drain, and cut potatoes in wedges. Melt one stick of butter in large frying pan (use only real butter) and sauté garlic for about one minute.

Add potatoes and the rest of the seasonings. Pan-fry the potatoes until they are lightly brown.
