Sympathy to the family of Billie Joan Holland, of Milton, who passed away Nov. 10 at the age of 82. She formerly lived at Costa.

Girl Scout Troop 4755 held a Veterans Day luncheon Nov. 11,

inviting all local veterans, at the Ashford Church of God's fellowship building. The program by the Girl Scouts was:

It was very nice of the Girl Scouts to honor our veterans. Thanks, girls.

Evelyn Adkins, of Ashford, extends her thanks to everyone for their prayers, cards, flowers, food and phone calls while she is recuperating from a broken leg. A special thanks to her granddaughter, Genna, who helped her and her husband, Bob, every minute throughout this difficult time.

Wayne Sparks wants to thank all who helped raise the money to buy play clocks for the football field at Sherman High School. This project was needed so the Tide could host a playoff game. The fund got off to a good start with $1,000 from each of the

following: Ken Elkins, Beverly Changes Mondin, Darrell Linville and Wayne Sparks. Wayne says, “Not bad for four country kids from Ridgeview.”

Get well wishes to a special lady, Evelyn Adkins, of Ashford, as she recovers from a broken leg. Evelyn had been a No. 1 fan of the B.A.R.N. column since I began writing it more than 20 years ago. She always has been faithful with adding her church news and family activities to this column. May she soon be well.

Meredith Rasp is recovering from a broken wrist. She is the daughter of Ronnie and Stephanie Kinder Rasp, of Alabaster, Ala. We send get well wishes to Meredith.

Little Roger Wolfe, of Costa, is recuperating from a foot injury suffered in a coal mining accident. Get well wishes for a speedy recovery.
