Sybil Gibson Henderson, 88, of Orleans, IN, formerly of Van, WVA, died January 30 at Paoli Health & Living Community following a lengthy illness and suffering a stroke at her home in Orleans, IN on January 16.
Born April 1, 1924, in Bigson (Van), WVA She was the daughter of Everett and Gracie (Jarrell) Gibson. She married Robert F. Henderson, Sr., on April 9, 1966 and he preceded her in death on July 16, 1991.
Survivors include two sons, Delano C. Gibson and wife Gloria of Van, WVA; Robert F. Henderson, Jr., of Orleans, IN; one daughter, Brenda Bartley of Lakeland, FL; one sister, Deanna Jeffrey and husband Morgan of Orleans, IN; three grandchildren including Scott Gibson of Van; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; four brothers; and five sisters.
Funeral services were held February 2nd at Ochs-Tetrick Funeral Home in Orleans with Rev. Mike J. Hester and Rev. Bob England officiating.
A private burial followed in the Fairview Cemetery in Orleans, IN.
