The Boone County 4-H Leaders’ Association proudly presents the musical adaptation of ”You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown” , in dinner theatre, August 12, 18, and 19 at the Danville Community Center. Dinner will begin at 2:00 on Sunday August 12 and 19, and 7:30 on Saturday August 18 – the show will start shortly after.
“You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” follows the antics and misfortunes of the “Peanuts” gang, the comic strip by Charles Schultz. If you have a child, know a child, or ever was a child, you will recognize the poignant philosophy and humor of these adorable characters. Short vignettes are staged around solos, small group and production numbers. A day in the life of Charlie Brown truly is a laughing matter!
The production is comprised of 4-H members who are also active in the Boone County Schools’ STAGE programs. The cast includes: the misfortunate Charlie Brown played by Logan Darnell, Brittany Whitt plays the know-it-all Lucy, Sean Price as Schroeder the temperamental musician. Lindsey Parsons as the ever-joyful Snoopy, Paul Osborne as the blanket- loving Linus, Abby Brown as the youthful philosopher Sally, Ciara Felty as Peppermint Patty the tomboy, and the silent but faithful Woodstock is characterized by Brooke Phillips.
Orchestra members are: Dillon Smoot, Kasey Huffman, Curtis Sutphin, Sabrina Jarrell, and Kaitlyn Bircheat. This production is directed by Robin Bunch Bailey.
