A Ridgeview man was killed after his vehicle collided with a large truck.
Boone County Sheriff’s deputies reported that Daniel Chafin, 53, of Ridgeview was killed when his pickup truck crossed the center line and hit a tractor trailer head on.
The accident happened just before 11 p.m., Monday, Oct. 15, 2012, on Route 3 at Drawdy Mountain.
Deputies say the semi was pulling a tanker at the time, but it was empty.
The accident remains under investigation.
