UPDATE: Missing teen is back home

Octavia Smoot, 16, who had been missing since Friday, Jan. 25, is back home safe and sound, according to family members. "Octavia is back!," Erin Michelle White posted on her Facebook page. "Thank God! Thank you to everyone that prayed, did their own research, or simply just kept her in your thoughts." Madison police asked for the public's health in locating the girl after she did not return home on Friday, Jan. 25. The family had planned a prayer vigil for Sunday at a local church, but that has now been cancelled.

The cadets were joined by members of VFW Post 5578 at noon on the front lawn of the courthouse to remember, by name, each soldier who died defending our freedoms.
