CAMP CREEK – Two meth labs were discovered overnight by the Boone County Sheriff’s Department in the Camp Creek area. Acting on tips from the public, deputies went to the residences located along Camp Creek Road in Boone County. After discovering clandestine labs in both homes, officers were able to arrest the following individuals, police said. Christopher Tulley, 36, of Camp Creek, was arrested and charged with Operating a Clandestine Laboratory and Conspiracy. Brian Miller, 35 years old, of Camp Creek, was arrested and charged with Attempting to Operate a Clandestine Laboratory, Conspiracy and three Counts of Child Neglect Creating a Substantial Risk of Injury for having his children present in the home. Operating or attempting to operate a clandestine laboratory is a felony and carries a prison sentence of 2-10 years, the counts of child neglect are felonies and carry a prison sentence of 1-5 years each and Conspiracy is a felony punishable of 1-5 years in prison. “These arrests were made possible from information gathered from concerned citizens in the community,” said Boone County Sheriff Randall White. “We will not tolerate people cooking or dealing drugs in our county, however a lot of times it is not possible to complete these investigations without help from the public.” Anyone with any information about illegal activity in their area is urged to contact one of the Sheriff’s Department’s tip lines at 304-369-7387 or email sheriff@boonecountywv.net The pair was transported to the South Western Regional Jail and are currently awaiting arraignment by Magistrate C. Porter Snodgrass. This investigation was made possible with the help of Troopers from the Madison Detachment of the West Virginia State Police.
