DANVILLE – A Fayette County man has been arrested and charged with breaking into two businesses in Danville. Clinton Heath Hall, 38, of the Mossy area of Fayette County, was charged with a felony after Boone County Sheriff’s deputies allege he first broke into the Danville Subway, which is attached to the BP station, near Magic Mart, just off Corridor G, on Saturday night, Nov. 10, or Sunday morning, Nov. 11. “When workers came in Sunday morning they found that the business had been broken into and was able to open the safe located inside the business,” said Boone County Sheriff Rodney Miller. Then on Wednesday night, Nov. 14, or early Thursday morning, Nov. 15, Hall allegedly struck again breaking into the K & E Exxon gas station in Danville. “Employees when they reported this morning found that it had been broken into and they had been ripped off,” Boone County Sheriff Rodney Miller said. Miller alleges that Hall pried his way in through a drive thru window and then broke into the safe and an ATM machine. Tim Riggs owns Medicap Pharmacy in downtown Danville. His business was broken into last month. “You work hard. You don't know what they've done. You feel violated,” Riggs told WSAZ-TV 3 in a televised interview last week. Paul Heater was arrested inside the pharmacy in connection with breaking into it and a couple of other businesses, WSAZ and the Coal Valley News reported last month. “It is discouraging, but we're operating in tough economic times right now. We hope it's not the case, but if it gets any worse, that will see more type incidents like this,” Miller said. Miller says they tracked Hall through several counties to catch and arrest him. “He is also suspected with several break-ins in Fayette County as well,” Miller said. Riggs said he things these types of crimes are only going to get worse. “There's a lot of people laid off,” Riggs said. “There are a lot of drug addicts in our area.” Hall is being current in the Southern Regional Jail and is facing additional charges, Miller said.
