Boone County Community Foundation and Coal River Group provide Water education event for students

The day was cold the trip was long but 150 students from Sherman, Ashford Rumble and Nellis elementary schools had a ball attending the Water Education Festival hosted by the Coal River Group.A program designed by the Coal River Group and the WV Division of Environmental protection, the Water Festival provided the fourth grade classes with a first class road trip and educational opportunity.

Former Marshall University football coach Bobby Pruett recently visited the Madison Rotary Club. He was the guest of Rotarian Mark Linville, left. Pruett, an outstanding motivational speaker, gave an inspiring program on community service. He announced that he will be heading up the capital campaign for the new Boone Memorial Hospital, adding, “I am honored to chair this fundraising effort. This project will give a substantial boost to your local community.”
