MADISON — A Racine resident is going to pay his debt to society after a February 2010 incident.

Boone County Circuit Judge Will Thompson last week sentenced Brian Nottingham to two years in prison after he admitted to one count of wanton endangerment involving a firearm.

Troopers alleged at the time that when an employee of Rent-A-Center came to his home to repossess a television on Feb. 8, 2010, the employee was shot.

After receiving his two-year term in state prison last month Thompson ordered Nottingham to self-report to the Southwestern Regional Jail by January 31st. Chief Assistant Prosecutor Jennifer Anderson handled the case for the state and Trooper T.A. Bowers handled the original criminal investigation for the West Virginia State Police.
