The 6th Annual Nellis Community Clean-Up is scheduled for Saturday, April 16, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Everyone will meet in the Nellis School gymnasium to sign-in and receive supplies. Dumpsters will be placed near the ball field for the community to use. Refreshments and hotdogs will be served in the gym after the clean-up.

The Prenter Friendship Club meeting was held at the home of Billie Marie Bender on March 14, 2011. Attending were: Sandra G. Bartley, Billie Bender, Virginia Harless, Alyssa Lambert, Jennifer Lambert, Scott Lambert, Betty Runion, Audrey Sands, and Teresa Sands. They enjoyed dinner and fellowship. Earthquake Cake

Preheat oven to 350F. Grease bottom of a 13X9 baking pan. Layer bottom with 12 oz shredded coconut and 1 3/4 cup chopped pecans. Spread onto bottom of pan. Prepare 1 box red velvet cake mix according to directions, but add 1/3 cup cocoa. Pour batter over nut and coconut mixture.

Mix l stick butter or oleo, 12 oz cream cheese, 1 lb confectioners sugar and drop by spoonfuls over the top of the cake.
