Sympathy to the family of Fred Darby of Ashford who passed away May 23 at the age of 42.

Condolences to the family of Jason L. Kinder of Cleveland, Ohio (formerly of Ridgeview) who passed away May 20 at the age of 80.

The 29th annual Nellis-Armco reunion, combined with the 5th annual Nellis Grade School reunion, is slightly more than three weeks away. It is scheduled for Saturday, June 25, beginning at noon. The Nellis Elementary School gym has been reserved for this date. Mark your calendar and make plans to spend the afternoon with former neighbors and long-time friends. Food will be available.

Congratulations to Diana Walker of Nellis who is now manager of One Stop (formerly E-Mart) at Ashford.

H.L. Baldwin, wife Donna, and son Jeff, of Oakland, Neb., recently visited the Historic Nellis Church/Archives. They enjoyed seeing, for the first time, the original church bell installed on the beautiful granite base funded by Mr. Baldwin. A brass plaque is placed on the base in honor of his grandparents, A.J. and Ella Baldwin.

The family descendants of Jess and Clayte Estep will gather Saturday, July 16 at the Senior Citizens Building at Racine Park for their annual family reunion. All family members, relatives and friends are invited to bring a covered dish and join everyone at noon for an afternoon of fun, food and fellowship.

A note of death in the B.A.R.N. column on May 18 should have read: Jimmy Adkins of Kirby. He was the husband of Nancy Berry Adkins. Their last name was misspelled and listed as Atkins.

Cody Adkins, son of Randy and Janie Adkins of Costa, came up with an idea of how the Sherman High School graduation could be seen and enjoyed by everyone. Cody figured out how to hook up a camera to a computer and created a web-cast of the graduation. Good job, Cody, everyone appreciates your great idea! Cody plans to study computer science at WVU Tech in the fall.
