I would just like to take the time and let everyone in good old Boone County know that my innocent grandfather, Junior Ball, was a GREAT MAN.

He will always be my hero and when I had to tell him goodbye it was the hardest thing that I have ever done in my life.

I feel as though his last few months on this earth were robbed from us and he had to die alone.

Am I bitter? Yes, and I know that only God will help me get over the bitterness.

Please tell me, how can an innocent man show remorse? He “bargained” with the devil only to save my precious grandmother a public trial and humiliation.

The only peace I can get from this whole ordeal is that I know that my Grandfather is with God and I can only pray that he knows how much I love him and how much I will miss him every day until I see him again.

Sincerely,

Benita Adkins
