A Danville woman was arrested by law enforcement after she allegedly stabbed her husband during a domestic dispute.

According to a complaint filed in Boone County Magistrate Court, police were called to the Hopkins Road home of Mark Miller. Boone 911 dispatchers reported a call from the home advising that “a woman had a saw, and her husband needed an ambulance.”

When Danville P.D. Officer Lee Preece and sheriff’s deputies arrived on the scene Preece reported seeing Mark Miller stumble out onto his front porch, covered in blood. Preece said the man advised him that his wife, 30-year-old Christina Renae Miller, was inside using a knife as a weapon.

When law enforcement entered the residence, the only sign of a struggle was a knocked-over knife case with one kitchen knife missing. They also noticed a broken knife on the floor.

When officers entered the couple’s bedroom, they found the woman lying in bed “ wearing a ripped white shirt and covered in blood and beer,” according to the report.

The report further stated that when Mrs. Miller gave a statement to officers, she advised that she had thrown a knife case and a hair dryer Preece reported that he observed injuries on the man’s head, but no injuries to his wife.

The woman was eventually arrested after her husband claimed that his head injuries were due to her attacking him with a knife.

Christina Miller was charged with felony malicious wounding. Magistrate C. Porter Snodgrass set her bond at $2,000 or $200 cash. At press time, she was still confined to the Southwestern Regional Jail at Holden. If convicted, she faces a prison sentence of from 2-10 years.
