The Friends of the Nellis Church are now taking orders for the commemorative 25-year Nellis-Armco reunion T-shirts. The cost is $10.00 for each shirt, plus $2.00 postage each if you need them mailed to you, or you can pick them up the day of the reunion (Saturday, June 30). Please include your name, size (small, medium, large, X-large or XX-large), your address and phone number. Send to P.O. Box 202, Nellis, WV 25142. Make checks payable to Friends of the Nellis Church. The deadline for ordering is May 1, 2007. No T-shirts will be sold at the Nellis-Armco reunion. If you have any questions, call me at 304-836-5379.
Congratulations to Teresa Perdue of Ashford on her third place win in the 2006 Coal River Group Photo Contest. Teresa’s entry was a photo of the Ashford bridge with snow-covered trees and river bank.
Thanks to Hansford McCallister of Nellis for the snow removal at the Nellis walking trail. We appreciate Hansford doing this each year so that we can continue our daily walks.
Merida Price appeared on Fox News at 10:00 PM last Wednesday. Several hundred residents of Putnam County were without electricity for several hours at that time. Merida is formerly from Boone County and now resides in Winfield with husband Bobby. Patsy and I enjoyed seeing you, Merida!
Thanks to the Department of Highways (Boone County crew) for their efforts in the snow removal the past week. A special thanks from those who reside on Nellis Circle for coming to our rescue shortly after we called.
