The Racine Volunteer Fire Department and Tri State Photo will be taking pictures in time for Easter at the Racine Fire Station on Sundays March 11 and 18, 2007, from 12 noon to 6:00 PM. Representatives of Tri State Photo will be visiting the communities in the area providing sitting cards for a $15.00 donation for one large portrait. Additional portrait packages will be available at the Station in one week of the above dates. Cards will also be available at the door. The proceeds will go towards firefighting and rescue equipment to better serve our community. Thanks to Sue Barker and Brittany Evans for helping get the word out about the Nellis community meeting Monday evening. Brittany made the poster and Sue helped get the fliers door to door.

Recipe of the week:

Hamburger Beans

1 lb. ground chuck

1 med. onion, chopped

1 med. green pepper, chopped

Brown the above. Drain, then add the following:

1/2 tsp. pepper

1/2 cup catsup

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup water

1 (28 oz.) can pork and beans

Cook over low heat for 30 minutes.
