Boone Senator Dr. Ron Stollings said last week that he feels perhaps the story about his stance regarding ATV regulation was unclear.

He issued this statement this week: “To clarify what was written in last week's CVN, I'd like to share with my constituents my thoughts about ATV legislation. I knew the legislation would have a major problem passing if all measures were implemented. So in Judiciary committee I attempted to amend the bill to leave the passenger issue as it is now (allowing one passenger). My amendment failed and so it went on to the floor with dramatic changes in the way 4 wheelers would be ridden in my area and it therefore was sent to rules and probably died.

I have a lot of worry about telling someone what they can and cannot do on their own property.”
