Skyhawks lose pair in McDonald’s Tournament

The Scott High School Skyhawks lost a pair of games in the McDonald’s Tournament, losing first to Wayne, 11-1 and then to Hoover by a 10-9 count.

Senior Kris Barrett banged out a pair of hits but Wayne picked up the win 11-1.

Scott used three pitchers in the game - Eric Gibson, Kameron Akers, and Tyler Thompson.

In the second game, Hoover edged the Skyhawks, 10-9.

Junior David Howard led the Black and Gold offensively with a 3-4 showing, including a double.

Gibson finished with two hits, including two doubles and three RBI.

Sophomore Eric Price added two hits including a double.

Barrett, Price, and freshman Tyler Ramsey all saw action on the mound for the Skyhawks.
