Katherine J. “Jeannie” of Boca Raton, Florida passed away on June 13, 2007 after a short illness. She was the daughter of Dell and Vinnie White. After her graduation from Scott High School in 1941, she married the love of her life, Clarence C. White. They were married 64 years until his death in October 2006.

A resident of Danville, West Virginia for over 35 years, she started her career as a teller at the Bank of Danville that her father founded in 1914. She worked in all areas of the bank, retiring in 1985 as the bank’s Executive Vice President.

She is survived by her loving niece, Deborah L. McKillop of Apopka, Florida, her sister-in-law, Doris Laurent of Marmet, West Virginia, her brother-in-law, Jim Kinder of Moundsville, West Virginia, nephews, Ronald Laurent of South Charleston, West Virginia, Michael Kinder of Floral City, Florida, and her great-nephew, William Michael Laurent of Melbourne, Florida.

Also she is survived by her first cousin, Jack White of Danville, West Virginia, her second cousins, Ann “Prissy” Rose of Bacliff, Texas, Bill “Jim” Rose of Winfield, Illinois, and Nancy Taylor of St. Albans, West Virginia.

She will be terribly missed by her closest friends, J. Robert and Belinda Rogers of Ponte Vedra, Florida, Mary Black of Pen Hook, Virginia, Diann Foster of St. Albans, West Virginia, Robin Rose of Mt. Dora, Florida, and Fanny Helquero of Boca Raton, Florida.

A service celebrating the life of Jeannie White will be conducted at Stevens Funeral Home in Madison, West Virginia on Monday, June 18, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. by Kenneth Mitchell. She will be laid to rest at Boone Memorial Park, Madison. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice by the Sea, 1531 West Palmetto Park Road, Boca Raton, Florida 33486.
