Two area residents have entered guilty pleas on separate felony charges in Boone County Circuit Court.

Shade Anthony Sigmon, 31, was indicted earlier this year by the Boone County Grand Jury on multiple charges. He was arrested on charges that accused him of breaking into the bathhouse of the Fork Creek #1 mine while he was employed there as a security guard.

In his plea agreement, Sigmon admitted to stealing two mining airpacks and $75 in cash. In return for his guilty plea, the state agreed to drop the four additional counts of his initial indictment.

When he returns to face judge William Thompson at a future date, Sigmon faces a possible sentence of 1-10 years in prison, or up to a year in jail and a fine of up to $2,500.

Amber Nichole Clonch, 24, was indicted last year on five theft and burglary related counts. Last week, she agreed to enter a guilty plea to a single felony count of nighttime burglary. In exchange for the guilty plea, the court agreed to dismiss the remaining counts of the indictment. In addition, Clonch agreed to pay restitution to the victim of her burglary.

At sentencing, she faces a possible term of confinement of more than a year.
