Robert Lee Ball, Sr. 64 of Madison, passed away due to an automobile accident on Tuesday Jan. 1, 2008. Robert was born on October 21, 1943 at Big Ugly Boone County, WV son of the late Brady Earl and Lora Ellis Bell. Robert was also preceded in death by one brother Earl Wetzel Bell. Robert was of the Church of Christ faith, a former employee of Appalachian Power Company, Logan, self employed in the heating, cooling, electrical, and pluming business, and he was a 1961 graduate of Scott High School. Organizations that he belong to were the Masonic Lodge Odell #115, The Scottish Rites Charleston and Logan, Order of the Eastern Star #121 Madison, and the Moose Lodge #2130 Madison. Survivors Include His: Wife: Betty Woodruff Bell of Madison, Sons and Daughters-In-Law: Robert, Jr. and Sara Bell of Huntington Phillip Scott Bell of Madison Mark and Lisa Bell of Big Ugly, Daughters and Son-In-Law: Rebecca and Chris England of Atlanta, GA Shawnda Marie Bell of Huntington, Brothers and Sisters-In-Law: Brady, Jr. and Garnet Bell of Chesapeake James and Judy Bell of Hurricane Lonnie and Coleen Bell of St. Albans, Sisters: June Ball of Winfield Betty Browning of Tampa, FL Bonnie Miller Bowles of Scott Depot Loretta Hammond of Toledo, OH, Mother-In-Law: Geraldine Woodruff of Omar, (8) Grandchildren and (1) Great Grandchild, Robert was also survived by loving and caring nieces, nephews and friends who will miss him dearly. Funeral service was at 1:00 p.m. Saturday Jan. 5, at the Stevens Funeral Home, Madison with Minister Kenneth Mitchell and Ralph Cauldill officiating. Burial followed at the M.J. Bell Family Cemetery at Big Ugly with Masonic graveside rites. Friends may call from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday with an Eastern Star Service at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
