Dixie Hatfield Mullins, 96, of Madison passed away Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2008, after a short illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Othar Mullins and daughter-in-law, Geraldine Mullins. Surviving are her son, Jerry Kent Mullins of Hamlin; grandchildren, Robin Triplett (Terry) of Barboursville, and Barry Mullins of Hamlin; four great-grandchildren, Terry Triplett Jr., Steven Triplett, Abigail Triplett and Barry Mullins II; one sister-in-law, Balmaine Hatfield of Huntington; two special nephews, Harry Hager of Huntington, and Henry Hager of Hamlin; and special friends, Jim and Gay Salyers of Foster. The family would like to express a loving gratitude to her caregivers. Funeral service was 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 29, at Madison Baptist Church, Madison. Burial followed in Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Huntington. Pallbearers will be Paul Stephens, Terry Triplett Jr., Steven Triplett, Barry Mullins II, Dick Atkins and Jim Salyers.
