James Ernest Love 86 of Barrett, Boone County, died Saturday March 8, 2008 at the Boone Memorial Hospital, Madison. Born Nov. 24, 1921 at Vanita, WV he has the son of the late Okey Willbur and Hazel Virginia Roop Love.

Mr. Love was an army veteran of World War II and a proud member of the UMWA. He was retired from coal mining after more than forty-two years of service.

Survivors Include His: Wife: Lena Bell Love of Barrett Sons and Daughter-In-Law: James and Mary Love of Clinton, , TN Larry Love of Cazy Daughters and Sons-In-Law: Susan and Terry Childers of Belle Jenny and Patrick Webb of Cumberland Gap, TN Marilyn and Bruce Jones of Tazewell, TN Daphne and Tim Reynolds of Fort Lawn, SC (14) Grandchildren and (7) Great Grandchildren. Funeral service was 8:00 p.m. Tuesday March 11, at Stevens Funeral Home, Madison with Howard Sparks and Billie Cline officiating. Burial was Wednesday March 12, at Montgomery Memorial Park, London with military graveside rites conducted by VFW Post 5578.
