Graveside services for Ralph James Hensley, 84, of Madison, Ohio were held on June 13, 2008 at Arcola Cemetery in Madison, Ohio. Mr. Hensley passed away on June 10, 2008 after a long illness. He was born on October 2, 1923 in Seth, WV to the late Thomas and Maudie (Perdue) Hensley. Ralph graduated from Sherman High School in Seth, WV. He served in United States Army during World War II. He was a member of the Madison, Ohio American Legion Post 112. Mr. Hensley worked for North American Coal Company in Prenter, WV, Zim Supply Company in Charleston, WV then relocated to Ohio where he was employed and retired from the the Lubrizol Corporation in Painesville, Ohio. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Mahala "Bonnie" Hensley of Madison, Ohio; sons, Timothy (Sharon) Hensley of Ashtabula, Ohio and Alan (Luci) Hensley of Jefferson, Ohio; daughters, Brenda (Ronnie) Massey of Comfort, WV and JoAnn (Allen) Eckert of Madison, Ohio, brother, Willis "Budgie" Hensley of Seth, WV; Sisters, Wilda McCallister of Richfield, Ohio and Drema (Robert) Hoisington of Medina, Ohio; grandchildren, Michael and Mark (Gina) Bayless of Geneva, Ohio, Bradley Eckert of Cleveland, Ohio and Samantha (Grant) Walker of Ashtabula, Ohio. He was also survived by great grandchildren, Clara Walker of Ashtabula, Ohio, Drew Bayless of Geneva, Ohio and future great granddaughter, Emily Bayless of Geneva, Ohio and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Wilma Jarvis and a nephew, Brett McCallister. At Ralph's request there were no calling hours. The Reverend Shirley Deemer officiated the graveside services and American Legion Post 112 performed the military funeral. Walker Funeral Home of Geneva, Ohio was in charge of the services
