Start the day of assorted holiday activities with a breakfast with Santa between the hours of 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. at Pig Out Restaurant.
While in the neighborhood, stop into the building beside Pig Out between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. and have your picture taken with Santa. Receive an 8x10 photo for just $5.
Sleigh rides for $1 will take place all day, as well as Christmas caroling and a Christmas concert.
Enjoy shopping for all of those hard-to-buy for people on your list this year with local arts and crafts. Vendors will be selling items such as baked goods and apple cider, handmade wooden pens, bowls, and toy tops, scarves, books, and more.
Area businesses will be competing for a $100, $50, and $25 Decoration Contest to be chosen Wednesday or Thursday.
Robin Woods Bailey will lead a community band and a 2:00 afternoon parade will begin lining up behind Corky’s Flower Shop at 1:00 p.m.
Churches and civic organizations, local artists and craftspeople are invited to participate in the celebration.
For more information about the parade or the host of REV-Up Madison’s downhome Christmas Celebration, Contact Kathy Hill at 369-1855. To become a vendor, contact Janie Walker at 369-1077.
If you are aware of any organizations that need a fundraiser, this would be an ideal time and place to do so, as there is no cost to set up a booth or table.
Organizers with REV-UP Madison hope to make this a successful annual event.
