The 7th Annual Nellis Community Clean-Up is scheduled for Saturday, April 21, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Everyone will meet in the Nellis School gymnasium to sign-in and receive supplies. Dumpsters will be located near the school for the community to use. Refreshments and hotdogs will be served in the gym after the clean-up.

The Lick Creek (Ashford) Clean-Up is set for Saturday, April 7 at 9:30 a.m. Everyone will meet at Ashford-Rumble Elementary School for bags and gloves. After the clean-up, there will be an Easter-egg hunt at the school and each child will get a prize. Contact Teresa Perdue for more info and to let her know if you plan to participate.

Sympathy to the family of Susie Williams of Ashford who passed away Wednesday, March 14. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

The United Methodist Women of Mahone Chapel of Ashford are having their annual Easter egg candy project, and are now taking orders which are due by March 25. Flavors available are: peanut butter, coconut, cherry nut, maple nut, and smoothies. Cost is $1 for 1/8 lb; $2 for 1/4 lb, and $3.50 for 1/2 lb.
