Allen K. Hill, 64, of Sumerco was born December 20, 1947 and passed away June 13, 2012 as the result of a motorcycle accident.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Evie Gundy Hill; one son, Chris; and a sister, Charlotte.
Throughout his life he was a coal miner, a cop, drove a big rig, worked at Ferrell Gas, was a lock smith and played music. He was a Christian.
He is survived by his wife, Janet; children, Charlotte (Andy) Lucas, Angie Marcum, Rita Smith, Renee Bowling, Eddie Hill and Robby Allen; special grandson, Dustin Bowling who lived with him; 35 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren with two more great-grandchildren that are expected soon; two brothers, Sammy and Keith; and two sisters, Nancy and Sherry.
Services were at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 16, at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with Mark Gillenwater and John Gillenwater officiating. Burial followed in Pine Grove Cemetery, MacCorkle.
