William Lewis “Wease” Topping, 27, of Madison, WV, departed this life on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at Madison, WV.
He was born August 28, 1984 in Huntington, WV a son of Mark and Sherry (Browning) Topping.
He was preceded in death by grandparents James Kyle Topping, Lewis and Nadine Browning.
Wease was a disabled combat veteran from the United States Marine Corps. He served two tours in Iraq and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was honorable discharged in 2008. He loved being in the mountains and playing music. Wease had a big heart and would help anyone that he could. He especially was a great help to his parents.
Those left to cherish his memory include his parents; Mark and Sherry Topping, his fiancée’; Sherry Osborne, one grandmother; Sarah Jane Topping of Harts, WV, two brothers; Timothy (Stacey) Topping stationed at Cherry Point, NC, and Nick Topping of Madison, WV.
Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, June 28, 2012 at Freeman Funeral Home with Kenneth Mitchelle officiating. Military rites will follow at Manns Cemetery at Manns Knob, Harts, WV.
Friends may call Wednesday, June 27, 2012 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Freeman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Timothy Topping, Nick Topping, Paul Topping, and Mark Frye. Honorary pallbearer will be Rockne Stevens.
Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
