SYMPATHY

Deepest sympathy wishes go out to the family of Kristen Makayla Woodrum, 14, of Wharton, who passed away on Feb. 1 at home. She was a student at Van Junior/Senior High School. Kristen will be missed by all of the students and staff there. She was a very special girl who left us way too early.

Sympathy wishes go out to the family of Georgia Hellen Workman, 92, of Wharton, who went to be with the Lord on Feb. 6. We all lost a very special person, but God gained a very special Angel. We love you “Grandma” Georgie. We miss you very much.

CHURCH NEWS

The Star of Bethlehem Freewill Baptist Church at Twilight and its pastor, Rev. Melvin Messer, invite everyone to attend their services Sunday mornings at 10:30, Sunday evenings at 7 and Wednesday evenings at 7. The church will have dinner at noon and afternoon service at 2 on the second Sunday of each month. Ricky Bailey now drives the church van throughout the community. Anyone who wants a ride to and from church services should call Bailey at 245-8493.

The Star of Bethlehem Freewill Baptist Church at Twilight will have a revival beginning Feb. 16 and ending Feb. 21. Services will begin each evening at 7 p.m. Evangelist David Cook of Naomi will preach. Special singers will be Good News on Monday, Saving Grace on Tuesday, Calvary Sisters on Wednesday, Jacob's Ladder on Thursday, The Sonlights on Friday and Partakers of Grace on Saturday.
