Rotarian Dr. Ron Stollings introduced Bobbi Jo Muto, the state's community oral health coordinator, to the Madison Rotary Club when she was the club's guest speaker on August 9. Muto, a public health dental hygienist, works with school children, nursing homes, organizations and agencies around the state promoting the importance of good oral health. In 2011, she helped develop and implement a state oral health plan that received input on priorities from meetings held in various counties. Work continues on making the public aware of the benefits of dental health including the completion of universal pre-K oral health surveillance, and the beginning of adult/senior oral health surveillance, along with the development of state wide infrastructure.
There were several guests that visited the Madison Rotary Club in recent weeks.
