The Upsilon Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa celebrated its 50th Anniversary June, 2012. The honorary organization for women educators of Boone County was installed at the home of Mary Tamplin in 1962. Mary was recognized as a founding member in a luncheon on June 11 at the home of Lonnie Skeens. She was presented an appreciation award and a beautiful violet throw and pillow by Chapter President Connie Jarzynski. Special guests were her daughter, Jenny Light, and Carol Baurer of the Kanawha District of Alpha Delta Kappa. Pictured is, left, Mary Tamplin and, right, Connie Jarzynski.
