In a complaint filed in Boone County Magistrate Court, a Logan County man was charged with car theft. Trooper S.M. Boyles said Jerry Dale Green, 41, is alleged to have stolen a car from Maria Stollings, of Navy Lane.

“On February 14, I was called by the victim who told me someone had stolen her vehicle from the front of her residence,” Boyles’ report stated.

A witness told Boyles that Green was staying with him and would have driven the car from the residence on Route 17 to Peck’s Mill.

“At that time I contacted Logan County 911, who placed a be on the lookout for the vehicle,” the complaint states.

At approximately 7:30 p.m., a deputy from the Logan County Sheriff’s Department located Green and the stolen car at Green’s residence, according to the complaint.

Boyles then arrested Green and charged him with grand larceny. If indicted and convicted, Green faces a possible prison sentence of 1-5 years in prison for the felony charge.
