Ball Get Together
Risty & Jeanette Ball Ellis of Ellis Branch six Mile, had a get together Sunday Sept.2, 2012 at their home. Those there was Barry & Peggy Bias, Debra Fowler, Mike Thompson, Mikie Adams, John Ball, Van & Mary Ball, Chip & Wife & daughters, Jason & Sarah Ball, Emory & Susie Ball. Those there enjoyed theirself with plenty of good food and had the pool open for swimming before closing for the season. Jeanette has a birthday. Memory of Brother in law Fred Cobourn of Haines City FL, sister Emma Cobourn & 2 brothers Danny, Skeeter Ball & mom Lucy and father Buren Ball
Recipe: Corn Fritters
1 1/4 c self rising meal
1 1/4 c all purpose flour
1/4 c sugar
1 teas. salt
1 c milk
2 eggs (slightly beaten)
1/4 c (melted) butter
1 can corn (drained)
veg oil for frying
Heat oil 325 in a medium bowl, combine meal, flour, sugar, salt , add milk & eggs, stir well, stir in butter & corn. Pour oil to depth of 2 inches in a dutch oven deep fryer. drop by spoon into hot oil. Cook 2 to 4 minutes or golden brown turning once. Drain on paper towel. Makes 2 dozen.
