Paul Fowler, 29, of Madison, faces charges of sexual assault on a minor.

According to the criminal complaint filed in the Magistrate Court of Boone County, Fowler is being charged with two counts of first degree sexual assault and two counts of sexual assault by a parent or custodian.

The complaint alleges that on two separate occasions in 2007, Fowler sexually assaulted a

3-year-old child.

Fowler was arrested on

March 3, and is being held at the Southwestern Regional Jail on a $60,000 surety, or $6,000 cash bail.

If found indicted and found guilty of the charges of sexual assault, Fowler faces 15 to 35 years in jail or a fine of $1,000 to $10,000 and jail not less than 15 or more than 35 years, according to court documents.

If indicted and found guilty of the charges of sexual assault by a parent, Fowler faces 10 to 20 years or fined $500 to $5,000 and jail not less than 10 years nor more than 20 years, according to court documents.

Already guilty? I heard he admitted to it.. Plus in todays world you are guilty until you prove yourself not guilty. Not a great way to see things but its true. And if you confess, come on. Maybe fear was used in all of this, or theres so many other ways predators control their prey. Dont take sides or just see one side look at it as a whole, theres always gray, not just black n white.

I'm trying real hard to understand people. Freedom of Speech .Ok. However, thanks to you this man has been tried and convicted.It's suppose to be innocent until proven guilty.Well as we all know Boone County has already convicted him with article.As a mother myself I would like to know how a mother could let their child visit with someone who they thought had hurt their child.They would not!!!I have had the pleasure of knowing Paul and witnessing the relation of he and this child.There is no child that is going to act the way this child did around Paul had Paul done what he has been accused of.This child was very loving and clearly comfortable around him.Been there,done that know how the child would feel.God Help You All! We Love You Paul!!!!
