Jimmy Dale White, 45, of Gordon, was arrested March 13, on four charges of wanton endangerment and felony possession of a firearm.

According to the criminal complaint filed in the Magistrate Court of Boone County, on March 13, White allegedly fired a brown .22 caliber rifle at least two times at a man and his juvenile son, which “created substantial risk of death and serious bodily injury.”

The complaint also states that White allegedly possessed the firearm unlawfully, as he had previously been convicted of breaking and entering.

Officer R.B. Dalton, of the Boone County Sheriff’s Department, filed the complaint in the magistrate court.

Magistrate Charles M. Byrnside, set White’s bail at $10,000 cash, or a $100,000 surety, according to the jail commitment order.

According to court documents, if indicted and found guilty, White could face one to five years in jail and/or a fine of $250 up to $2,500 on the four wanton endangerment charges. He also faces up to five years in jail and/or a fine up to $5,000 for felony possession of a firearm, according to court documents.
