Advance tickets for the Thursday evening session of this week’s Boys’ High School State Tournament will be sold at Scott High School this Wednesday (March 18) and Thursday (March 19) from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 in the Scott High gym.

Advance tickets will be $6 for students and $8 for adults. Student tickets will be $8 at the gate and adult tickets will be $10 at the gate. These tickets will enable Scott fans to watch the Skyhawk game from the Scott cheering section, then move into general admission sections for Thursday’s two later games.

The Scott-Wyoming East game will begin at 5:30. Beckley Woodrow Wilson and Musselman will clash in a Class AAA battle immediately following the Scott game and Tug valley will meet Weir for a AA showdown in the nightcap.

The S.S.A.C. expects a large crowd for the Thursday evening session. As a result, fans are encouraged to buy the advance tickets at Scott High in order to avoid long lines at the Civic Center ticket booths.

The Scott-Wyoming East winner will play Friday night at 7:15 in the Class AA semi-finals. The Class AA title game will be played Saturday at 2:30 p.m.

The Scott Skyhawk basketball team will have breakfast at McDonald’s in Madison at 9:00 a.m. Thursday morning before leaving for the state tournament. Coach Jason Kingery invites Scott fans to stop by, wish the team well, and enjoy breakfast at McDonald’s.

Local FM radio stations 92.5 (WZAC) and 101.9 (WVOW) will broadcast the Scott-Wyoming east game on Thursday evening.
