According to the complaint, last Thursday, Walker and the victim were driving in a Chevy Blazer through the Orgas area of Boone County.
When the two women pulled the vehicle off the road, Walker allegedly grabbed the victim’s purse out of her bra, then stole four checks out of it.
The alleged victim had a whistle around her neck due to her having medical problems, but before she was able to use it, Walker allegedly pulled the string and used a lighter and burnt it off of the victim’s neck, according to the complaint.
Walker then allegedly had the woman drive to the church at the mouth of White Oak, at Orgas, and had her pull over, where she took the keys from the ignition and the victim left the vehicle.
When officers located Walker, she was in possession of two of the checks that were stolen from the victim and she had forged the victim’s name on the checks, according to the criminal complaint filed against her in Boone County.
Walker also admitted to officers that she had taken the Chevy Blazer from the victim, according to court documents.
Walker is currently being held at the Southwestern Regional Jail on a $20,000 surety, or $2,000 cash bail. If indicted and found guilty of the charges, Walker could face 5 – 18 years in jail for robbery, 2-10 years in jail for assault, 1-10 years in jail for grand larceny, and up to 10 years in jail for forgery, according to court documents.
